Scott County Regional Authority Awards Nearly $1.7 Million

bringing total funding since 1991 to $94 Million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of nearly $1.7 million for the spring 2022 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Travis Guy, Chairperson, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley – $15,000, Outdoor Interactive Space

Stacy Kiser-Willey, Executive Director, Vera French Housing – $15,000, Empowering Affordable Housing Tenants & Increasing Efficiency through Technology

Ann Schwickerath, Director, Project Renewal – $45,000, Youth Program Expansion and Renovations

Ryan Saddler, Board Chair, Friends of MLK, Inc. – $31,250 ($125,000 total commitment over four cycles), 2022 MLK Park

The Authority received a total of 98 requests for funding totaling $2,721,402.

A total of $1,689,519 was awarded to 63 projects benefiting residents of Scott County. 

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $94,032,618 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

The next grant cycle is scheduled to be in fall 2022 with applications available by September 1, due Friday, September 30.  Information regarding future grant cycles will be posted the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com and shared through local media.
