SCRA Fall 2025 Awards

Scott County Regional Authority Awards Over $1.4 Million

bringing total funding since 1991 to over $104 million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of over $1.4 million for the fall 2025 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Lola VanDeWalle, Founder, Quad City Veterans Outreach Center – $6,300, Veterans Computer Project

Samuel McCullum, Founder and Executive Director, STEAM on Wheels – $3,650, Sculpting STEAM Education at Madison Elementary and the Family Museum

Marilyn Oliver, Food Pantry and Clothing Closet Director, and Julie Schoville, Council President, All Saints Lutheran Church – $48,000, All Saints Lutheran Church Food Pantry and Clothing Closet

Dr. Kay Metzgar-Fix, Board President, Precious Acres Animal Rescue & Sanctuary – $17,000, Perimeter Fencing

The Authority received a total of 83 requests for funding totaling $2,415,316.

A total of $1,446,430 was awarded to 49 projects benefiting residents of Scott County. 

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $104,267,022 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

The next grant cycle is scheduled to be in spring 2026, with applications available by March 1, due April 1.  Information regarding future grant cycles will be posted the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com and shared through local media.
