Spring 2022 Applications

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Scott County Regional Authority has opened an online grant application for the spring 2022 grant cycle.  Spring applications are for programs or projects to be completed between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023. 

The deadline for online submission is April 1 with awards announced at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24th. 

Any non-profit organization exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code, government organization, or education institution can apply by completing the online grant application.  Applicants must have a local office, a local corporate board of directors, be incorporated in the state of its principal place of business or chartered by the U. S. Government, and serve residents of Scott County, Iowa.

Qualifying organizations may access the grant application on the website at http://www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com.  Applications must be submitted by 11:45 p.m. on Friday, April 1.  Any questions regarding this process please email [email protected] or call (563) 344-2626.

Scott County Regional Authority Awards Over $1.6 Million

bringing total funding since 1991 to $92 Million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of over $1.6 million for the fall 2021 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Brad Martell, President & CEO, YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley – $50,000 ($500,000 total commitment awarded in fall 2018 over ten cycles), Building for Generations Capital Campaign, New Downtown Davenport Family YMCA (Bittner YMCA) and $50,000, North Scott Community YMCA

Rachael Mullins, President & CEO, Putnam Museum and Science Center – $100,000 ($250,000 total commitment over four cycles), Putnam Reimagined Capital Campaign

Ashley Velez, Executive Director, Humility Homes & Services, Inc. – $125,000 ($250,000 total commitment over four cycles), Addressing the Gap in Affordable Housing: Creating a Home for Every Person

Brian Ritter, Executive Director, Nahant Marsh Education Center – $100,000, Operations Building and Classroom

The Authority received a total of 76 requests for funding totaling $2,543,783.

A total of $1,664,427 was awarded to 65 projects benefiting residents of Scott County. 

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $92,343,099 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

The next grant cycle is scheduled to be in spring 2022 with applications available by March 1, due April 1.  Information regarding future grant cycles will be posted the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com and shared through local media.

Scott County Regional Authority Awards Over $1.5 Million

bringing total funding since 1991 to $90 Million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of over $1.5 million for the spring 2021 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Mike Miller, President and CEO, River Bend Food Bank – $75,000 ($250,000 total over four cycles), Expanding to Fill the Gap Capital Campaign

Mike Zimmer, Director of Secondary Education, Pleasant Valley Community School District – $50,000, RV12 Experimental Airplane Kit

Joy McMeekan, Executive Director, Gilda’s Club Quad Cities – $50,000 ($150,000 total over three cycles), Expanding Hope Capital Campaign

Dr. Kit Evans-Ford, Founder, Testimonies of Hope, Inc. – $6,108, Argrow’s Safe House Where Women Can Heal from Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence

The Authority received a total of 86 requests for funding totaling $2,733,819.

A total of $1,567,456 was awarded to 66 projects benefiting residents of Scott County. 

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $90,678,672 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

Scott County Regional Authority Awards Nearly $1.2 Million

bringing total funding since 1991 to $89 Million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of nearly $1.2 million for the fall 2020 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Amy Groskopf, Library Director, FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library – $40,000 (final installment of $240,000 total commitment), Main Library 21st Century Renovation

Maria Ontiveros, President, Mercado on Fifth – $24,000, Indoor Expansion

Leah Patton, Managing Attorney, Iowa Legal Aid – $9,775, Updating Technology to Better Serve Low-Income Scott County Residents

The Authority received a total of 75 requests for funding totaling $1,572,295.

A total of $1,164,202 was awarded to 56 projects benefiting residents of Scott County. 

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $89,111,216 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

At this time, the next grant cycle is anticipated to be in spring 2021 with applications available by March 1, due April 1.  Any changes to the regularly scheduled future grant cycles will be posted the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com and shared through local media.

Fall 2020 Applications

The Scott County Regional Authority online grant application is now available for the fall 2020 grant cycle.  Fall applications are for programs or projects to be completed between December 1, 2020 and November 30, 2021.  As a result of the economic impact of COVID-19, the revenue distribution for the fall 2020 grant cycle will be significantly lower than previous regular grant cycles.   

The deadline for online submission is October 1 with awards announced in late November. 

Any non-profit organization exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code, government organization, or education institution can apply by completing the online grant application.  Applicants must have a local office, a local corporate board of directors, be incorporated in the state of its principal place of business or chartered by the U. S. Government, and serve residents of Scott County, Iowa.

COVID-19 Response – Spring 2020 Awards

Scott County Regional Authority Awards $767,183

bringing total funding since 1991 to $87.9 Million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of just over $500,000 for a special COVID-19 Response – Spring 2020 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Ann Schwickerath, Executive Director, Project Renewal – $9,175, At Home Youth Programming Support

Jodie Barton, Executive Director, New Kingdom Trail Riders – $5,000, Operating Through the COVID-19 Pandemic to Help Our Community Heal

Ann McGlynn, Executive Director, Tapestry Farms – $2,500 – Fresh Food for Refugees and Neighbors

The Authority received a total of 64 requests for funding totaling $1,131,098.

A total of $510,849 was awarded to 50organizations benefiting residents of Scott County. 

Additionally, the SCRA Board of Directors approved the continuation of funding for five multi-cycle grant awards totaling $256,334.

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $87,947,014 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.
