The Scott County Regional Authority online grant application is now available for the spring 2020 grant cycle.  Spring applications are for programs or projects to be completed between June 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021.

The deadline for online submission is April 1 with awards announced in late May. 

Any non-profit organization exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code, government organization, or education institution can apply by completing the online grant application.  Applicants must have a local office, a local corporate board of directors, be incorporated in the state of its principal place of business or chartered by the U. S. Government, and serve residents of Scott County, Iowa.

Qualifying organizations may access the grant application on the website at http://www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com.  Applications must be submitted by 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1.  Any questions regarding this process please email [email protected] or call (563) 344-2626.

Scott County Regional Authority Awards $1.35 Million

bringing total funding since 1991 to $87 Million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of just over $1.35 million for the fall 2019 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Corporal Chris Hebbel, Davenport Police Department – $6,608, Police Explorers

Lynn Meyers, Mid City Urban Farm Project Director, Davenport Community School District – $37,800, Mid City Urban Farm Project

Alli Haskill, Treasurer, QC Closet2Closet – $4,740, Winter Assistance

Dr. Lyndsay and Kyle Day, No Foot Too Small – $25,000, Birthing + Bereavement Suite at Genesis Hospital

The Authority received a total of 95 requests for funding totaling $2,634,589.

A total of $1,351,602 was awarded to 61projects benefiting residents of Scott County. 

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $87,179,831 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

The next grant cycle will be in the spring of 2020 with grant applications available by March 1 and due on April 1.  The grant application will be available on the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com.

Scott County Regional Authority Awards $1.4 Million

bringing total funding since 1991 to $85.7 Million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of just over $1.4 million for the spring 2019 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Lola VanDeWalle, Founder, Quad City Veterans Outreach Center – $7,194, Serving Tables

Cory Williams, West High Principal and John Arnold, West High Science Teacher, Davenport Community School District – $31,120, Building the Medical Pathway in the Career Academy at Davenport West

Roger Kean, Executive Director, Scott County Conservation Board – $25,000, ADA Fishing Pier Renovation

Sara McLaughlin-Cross, Executive Director, The First Tee of the Quad Cities – $20,000, Collaboration grant between The First Tee of the Quad Cities, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley, The Martin Luther King Center, & Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley to purchase two vans

The Authority received a total of 109 requests for funding totaling $4,003,007.

A total of $1,409,891 was awarded to 58projects benefiting residents of Scott County.  The SCRA Board also reserved an additional $50,000 to be directed toward Scott County flood relief.

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $85,778,229 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

The next grant cycle will be in the fall of 2019 with grant applications available by September 1 and due by midnight on October 1.  The grant application will be available on the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com.

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of nearly $1.5 million for the fall 2018 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Kim Findlay, President & CEO, Putnam Museum and Science Center – $25,000, Infrastructure Replacement and Rejuvenation Project

Dave Donovan, Parishioner and Event Registration Coordinator, Our Lady of the River Church – $20,000, Quad City Tim Tebow Night to Shine Prom

James Simmons, Building Trades Instructor/Student Built Home Coordinator, North Scott Community School District – $40,000, Building Trades Expansion and Update

Brad Martell, CEO, Scott County Family Y – $50,000 ($500,000 total award over ten cycles), Building for Generations Capital Campaign – New Downtown Davenport YMCA Project

The Authority received a total of 96 requests for funding totaling $2,636,013.

A total of $1,496,797 was awarded to 72 projects benefiting residents of Scott County.

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $84,368,338 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of over $1.5 million for the spring 2018 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Joan Lescinski, PhD, CSJ, President, St. Ambrose University – $50,000 (final installment of $250,000 total commitment), Construction of a Wellness and Recreation Center

Kim Kidwell, Executive Director, Family Museum Foundation – $25,000, Very Eric Carle: A Very Hungry, Quiet, Lonely, Clumsy, Busy Exhibit

Mike Zimmer, High School Principal, Pleasant Valley Community School District – $31,488, Virtual Reality Integrated Welder Simulator Trainer

Mike Miller, President & CEO, River Bend Foodbank and Ally Gallagher, Former Student Ambassador, Student Hunger Drive – $5,000, Student Hunger Drive Food Boxes

The Authority received a total of 112 requests for funding totaling $2,728,489.

A total of $1,530,162 was awarded to 73 projects benefiting residents of Scott County.

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $82,871,541 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.
