Scott County Regional Authority awards nearly $1.4 million

bringing total funding since 1991 to over $105 million

The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) announced today awards of nearly $1.4 million for the spring 2026 grant cycle.

Several representatives spoke of the value and impact these awards will have for their organizations:

Sharon Sarver, Foundation Director, Bettendorf Public Library Foundation – $18,000, Discover & Connect: Bettendorf Public Library Lobby Refresh

Samantha Yeager-Walrath, Director of Communications & Grants, Hand In Hand – $30,500, A Summer of Belonging

Brian Baxter, Executive Director, Quad City Symphony Orchestra – $15,000, Symphony Day

John Byrnes, City of Bettendorf Parks and Recreation Director, Friends of Bettendorf Parks Foundation – $75,000, Bettendorf Pump Track & Bicycle Playground

The Authority received a total of 85 requests for funding totaling $2,842,407.

A total of $1,398,415 was awarded to 48 projects benefiting residents of Scott County. 

This brings SCRA funding since 1991 to $105,665,437 for the benefit of people and organizations in our community.

The next grant cycle is scheduled to be in fall 2026, with applications available by September 1, due October 1.  Information regarding future grant cycles will be posted the SCRA website: www.ScottCountyRegionalAuthority.com and shared through local media.
